Description :

Nutritional support through a poultry and agriculture project to help undernourished children and adults. Many families in the Mateko region have food-related difficulties and we want to help them through agricultural workshops. We will provide the agricultural tools necessary such as wheelbarrows, spades, hoes, rakes and watering cans to each group of 5 villages. Our local trainers will travel to the chosen villages to supervise the work of the groups. A wide variety of seeds will be planted to provide families with a diet rich in vitamins.

Secondly, laying hens (as well as feeding and watering troughs) will be purchased to help feed the underprivileged population of the Limete neighborhood of Kinshasa. We hope to enrich the diet of undernourished people through this project. If this technique is successful, we will implement it in the villages.

Goals :

• Eliminating malnutrition in isolated villages.
• Enabling poor families to have a wider variety of vegetables therefore a better vitamin intake as well as eliminating malnutrition related diseases.
• Over 120 individuals (orphans, single-parent families and elderly people) will benefit from this program every day.
