Description :

Purchase and installation of a grinding mill for cassava, corn and soybeans. The village women spend all their time in the forest (4:00 à 20:00) and they come home very exhausted. Most of them have no gainfull employment and depend only on their husband’s meager wages. We have created a local group to help them take control. This group invests its efforts in agricultural work and mothers learn to make bread, peanut milk and soy milk. They also learn how to make soap and wine.

Goals :

• Reduce by two or three hours per day the women’s workday by using the grinding mill
• Fight against malnutrition by improving their diet
• Improve the mothers life conditions in rural areas and help them take charge of themselves and value their work
